He Jing-han is a retired broadcaster and Taiwanese military man and also a 5th Generation practitioner of the BaguaQuan lineage.
At the age of 15, He Jing-han started studying Yang style TaijiQuan but after 6 or 7 years came to a standstill and stopped improving. For several years he tried other styles of Taiji Quan, as well as Xingyi Quan, Shaolin Quan and others but they were not his answers.
Then one day, when he was 23, he was introduced to Master Gong BaoZhai and began to specialize in Bagua.
Master Gong BaoZhai had inherited the BaguaQuan system from his teacher Grandmaster Gong BaoTien , a direct disciple of Grandmaster Yin Fu. From the age of 8 years old Master Gong BaoZhai studied with hopes of improving his weak body. Through the practice of BaguaQuan his health improved and he became strong, he studied under Grandmaster Gong until his thirties when he left his hometown.
He lived a full life and eventually moved to Taiwan and settled quietly.
When he was 80, three of his cardiac arteries had blockages. He again turned to BaguaQuan, quit smoking and used the Bagua methods to clear his congested arteries. He lived well for another 16 years. Master Gong Baozhai passed away shortly after his wife in the year 2000 aged 96.
He Jinghan became a disciple of Master Gong at the age of 24. From then on his masters home became the same as his own. He went in and out freely, ate there, slept there, mopped the floor, washed the dishes and put out the rubbish. This was all natural for the master-disciple relationship.
For 23 years he studied this way until his teachers death. He Jing-han now focuses his attentions on the cultivation of the arts and the promotion of the BaguaDaoyin.
